For my summer project I was inspired by Javeria Estrada's work and how she uses aqueous motion and natural forms in her pieces. Firstly I created a mood board using pictures of natural forms, then I created another mood board of Estrada's work, specifically from her Nocturnal Visions and Fleur De Sel collections. Next I analysed one of her images and I chose to analyse "Tainted Love". To ensure I made an in depth analysis I used the SEMI technique. I then created a shoot plan so I could see what my aims where, how I wanted it to go and what I needed, this lead to me collecting the equipment and materials I would need to emulate Estrada's work such as my camera, a vase, flowers, water, paint and a source of light. When carrying out the shoot I used flowers submerged in water and added watered down paint to create the aqueous motion element of the image. To ensure I could capture the moving liquid I used the continuous shooting mode on my camera so I could take lots of pictures at once, I also experimented with different coloured lighting to help emulate the atmosphere of Estrada's images. My summer project is shown below.
